Mindful Kreative is excited to welcome Samantha Vail as our Marketing Communications Intern for the fall semester! Sam is currently heading into the last semester of her senior year at Duquesne University, where she is earning her bachelor’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications with a concentration in Business Management.

“I love the art of delivering messages to different audiences,” Sam said. “There are so many ways to communicate, and being able to pursue a career where I get to express my creativity is my dream!”

As someone who describes herself as reliable and driven, Sam certainly has proven those traits through her professional experience. Prior to her internship with Mindful Kreative, Sam served as the Media Relations Intern for the Pittsburgh Penguins. In this position, Sam documented press conferences with players and coaches and curated content and data for social media. Additionally, Sam currently works part-time at Duquesne University as a Marketing Communications Assistant where she is developing fundamental skills in communications to take into her future career.

Outside of sharpening her skills as a student, you can find Sam cooking delicious meals in the kitchen, reading a new book, taking a pilates class, or hanging out with her friends, family and eight-year-old labradoodle, Murphy.

Sam has been quite the traveler recently with trips to Greece, Boston and Maine! She would also love to travel across Europe and South America (which would be the first thing she did if she were to win the lottery!). Although Sam’s adventure dreams are big, she has found excitement in exploring all that Pittsburgh has to offer— whether it’s going to a Steeler’s game, checking out a restaurant or visiting a park. Even after spending a few years in the City of Bridges, Sam still finds things she hasn’t done before!

Her curious nature and love of learning has led her to some pretty awesome experiences (like skydiving!), and will allow her to excel in helping our clients exceed their goals. We are thrilled to have Sam on the MK team this semester and cannot wait to see all she accomplishes!
