Mindful Kreative is pleased to have Jensen Troy on the team this semester as our Communications Intern! Jensen is currently in her last semester at Slippery Rock University and will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Relations this May.
Jensen currently serves as the Social Media Assistant for Slippery Rock University where she is always brainstorming creative content and implementing trends across all their social media platforms. She even started the university’s TikTok account, which she organically grew to over 1,000 followers in just one year! Prior to her internship with Mindful Kreative, Jensen served as the Public Relations Intern for WordWrite Communications, where she strategically managed social media accounts and brushed up on her writing skills through blog and newsletter writing for a variety of clients.
“Communications is an evolving field,” Jensen said. “Traditional tactics are tried and true but being open to new ideas and concepts will set you apart. Keeping up with trends and reading the news can help with staying up to date!”
When she’s not busy being an all-star communicator, Jensen loves spending time with her friends, exploring Pittsburgh’s vibrant restaurant scene, listening to true crime podcasts and catching up on the newest season of Selling Sunset, while hanging out with her cat, Peach.
Jensen describes herself as outgoing, always going after any worthy opportunity— even if it scares her. She has iced caramel lattes and her current favorite quote, “Never take no for an answer. Go after your biggest dream. Do not settle,” to thank for her motivation as she forges towards the finish line of her undergraduate degree.
In just a short amount of time with us, Jensen has already shined through her work and has dived right into an array of projects for multiple clients. We cannot wait to watch her grow and continue to do great things this semester!
