Mindful Kreative is thrilled to have Catie Leader on our team as our social media intern for the spring semester! Catie is a senior at Duquesne University, where she is majoring in Digital Marketing and minoring in Advertising, and brings a fresh perspective on all things social.
In Catie’s previous roles as an intern for Beyond Spots and Dots and with Makin Wellness, you could say she quickly became a social media guru. From curating advertising campaigns, collecting marketing research and analyzing SEO strategy, Catie knows a thing or two about the power of incorporating social media into communications plans. These experiences and her current role with Mindful Kreative have only made her more excited to pursue a career in the communications industry.
“We communicate every single day – it’s a huge part of our lives- and utilizing that in the business world for brands is something that I have always found so interesting,” Catie said.
We believe communication skills must run in her family, as her mom is a PR pro and her older sister is also pursuing a career in communications.
Her chihuahua, Ralphie, might not be the next in line for a job in the communication industry, but everyone loves him just as much!
When she’s not hard at work, Catie loves to travel. Though a study abroad trip to London planned for last year was cancelled, she made it her mission to find the silver lining in 2020. Being an avid coffee drinker, she used this time to find new coffee shops in Pittsburgh and sharpen her digital marketing skills through internships and clubs on campus.
Catie’s personal motto is “everything happens for a reason,” and we could not agree more. As our paths have crossed with her for the semester, we are so excited to see what she will accomplish for the MK team and our clients.
