Mindful Kreative embraces the opportunity to provide hands-on, agency experience to upper-level college students, and we’re always impressed by what these eager-to-learn, young professionals bring to the table. And our current communications intern is no exception!

April Osburn

Our spring communications intern, April Osburn, is currently a senior at Point Park University double majoring in public relations and advertising, and ballet. With exceptional writing skills and impressive leadership experience, April has sashayed onto the Mindful Kreative team seamlessly.

Prior to joining Mindful Kreative, April gained versatile experience as an intern at VisitPITTSBURGH where she took the lead on creating and editing press releases, media advisories, the Official Visitor’s Guide and other materials to promote tourism to the city of Pittsburgh. As a Georgia native, this internship definitely gave an inside glimpse of the new city that she calls home.

April’s role as president of Point Park’s PRSSA chapter has allowed her to hone her organizational and leadership skills, while her extensive dance and performance background helps her keep cool under pressure. With additional experience in social media management and photography, April has a well-rounded skill set that adds value to the MK team.

“We’re very excited to have April join us for the spring semester,” said Annie Lewis, Client Services Director. “She has impressive experience and shows promising qualities to be a natural, well-rounded PR pro.”

When April isn’t studying and kicks off her ballet shoes, she works as a bartender at Ten Penny in downtown Pittsburgh.

“I love working there because you get to meet so many different people,” said April. “The stories you hear are incredible and I love learning about what brought people here and all of the fun things they are planning to do in the city.”

April also loves watching game shows, listening to her favorite artist, John Mayer, and traveling. Recently, she took a trip to New York City, which she describes as “her favorite place in the world.”
