We’re thrilled to welcome Kate Madden to Mindful Kreative as our Spring 2026 Communications Intern!

Born and raised in Central Pennsylvania, Kate made the move to the city of bridges to attend school at the University of Pittsburgh and now considers this city her second home. As she wraps up her degree in Rhetoric and Communication, with certificates in Digital Media and Corporate and Community Relations, Kate brings a strong foundation in both writing and strategic communications to our team.

Kate brings experience to us from an internship at Ironcutter Creative, where she developed comprehensive social media content calendars, created compelling short-form content tailored to each platform, and collaborated on brand refreshes. Kate also served as an Advertising and Marketing Strategist for Crossroads Counseling, building social media presences from scratch and producing engaging newsletters for 140+ employees.

Her expertise doesn’t stop there! Kate recently worked with the International Poetry Forum to craft social campaigns and alumni profiles that connected the organization’s past performers to the community. This knowledge of Pittsburgh’s literary landscape will certainly come in handy this semester as we prepare for the 2026 Pgh Book Fest!

Outside of her professional roles, Kate is a self-described pop culture enthusiast. She loves staying on top of the latest social media trends, exploring how entertainment and marketing go hand-in-hand. When she’s not diving into the world of communications, you might find her enjoying an iced caramel latte at a local coffee shop, binging TV shows, or catching up on her reading. Kate’s creativity stems beyond her career, from her love of film to her interest in Greek mythology sparked by the iconic Percy Jackson series. She enjoys spending time with her two golden retrievers, Bethany and Belle, who keep life lively at home.

We’re confident Kate’s fresh perspective and hands-on experience will make a meaningful impact this spring. Please join us in giving Kate a warm welcome to the MK team! We can’t wait to see all the ways she will help our partners and our team shine this semester.
